Be the Heart of Compassion: Join AHOPM in Serving Our Community
A House of Peace Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serves South Dallas through our mission, Love in Action – Faith in Motion. Through our Community Garden, Feeding the Community, and Blankets of Love initiatives, we provide fresh produce, meals, blankets, and essential resources to families in need. These programs engage youth and volunteers while creating opportunities to nourish, support, and restore hope throughout our community.
Each year, we host AHOPM Seeds of Hope signature community impact initiatives:
-
Feeding the Community – Providing hot, nourishing meals to hundreds of individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
-
Blankets of Love and Spread the Love – Distributing backpacks filled with winter essentials like hygiene kits, socks, blankets, and snacks to our unhoused neighbors during the harshest months of the year.
-
AHOPM South Dallas Community Garden will address food insecurity, youth engagement, and environmental wellness. This community garden will provide fresh produce, hands-on learning opportunities, and a welcoming green space where local youth and volunteers can grow food, build relationships, and cultivate hope while strengthening the health and resilience of South Dallas.
These efforts are only possible through the generosity of compassionate people like you. We are calling on volunteers, donors, and sponsors to help us expand our reach and impact.
Our 2026 Community Impact Goal: $100,000 in combined funding, in-kind donations, volunteer support, and community partnerships.
How You Can Help Expand Our Impact:
-
Volunteer your time and heart to help with set-up, clean-up, registration, food service, bag packing, prayer, entertainment, and more.
-
Donate financially to help us scale our programs and reach more lives with greater efficiency and excellence.
-
Sponsor our events and gain visibility as a community partner making a difference in the lives of real people.
Together, we can feed more, serve deeper, and love louder.
