Community Garden

Growing Food. Growing Hope. Growing Community.

The A House of Peace Ministries Community Garden is a faith-based community outreach initiative created to support food access, neighborhood beautification, wellness, and hands-on service in South Dallas.

This garden is more than soil and seeds. It is a place where love becomes visible, faith becomes active, and families can experience the blessing of fresh food, shared responsibility, and community care.

Through the Community Garden, AHOPM is helping address food insecurity while creating a space for volunteers, youth, families, church members, and community partners to serve together.

Project Purpose

The purpose of the Community Garden is to:

• Increase access to fresh food in South Dallas

• Support families facing food insecurity

• Teach basic gardening, wellness, and stewardship

• Create volunteer opportunities for youth and adults

• Beautify and activate church property for community use

• Strengthen relationships between the church, neighbors, schools, and local businesses

• Provide produce that can support outreach efforts and families in need

Many families in underserved communities face barriers to fresh, affordable food. The Community Garden allows AHOPM to be part of the solution by growing fresh produce, creating awareness, and connecting people to resources.
